04/02/2022 | Adrienne Haan sings Kurt Weill REVIVAL

Triad Theater NYC

"Haan is the First Lady of Cabaret!" (Wolf Entertainment Guide)

"Haan is possessing of one of the most palatable voices on the scene, immersing herself into the storytelling, committing herself to character choices that would hurt the vocal instruments of less experienced performers, then turning on a dime with what can only be described as full opera, at times shocking a person with the beauty and the power of her unblemished mezzo." (Broadway World!)

"Her vocal power and emotional expressions are second to none!" (The Huffington Post)

"Not your aunt's feminism for sure!" (Cabaret Scenes)

"A brilliant performer who knows how to capture her audience." (Berliner Morgenpost)

Adrienne Haan is happy to bring her Kurt Weill Soirée back to the Triad NYC!

All of them are presented in the original language.

05/17/2022 | Margo&Juliette - A Dance on the Volcano in Weimar Berlin

The Triad Theatre NYC

"This is the most intriguing show in town at the moment. Beautifully written, with smart dialogues, fabulous music and an eroticism between two beautiful women that is not to be missed!" (Wolf Entertainment Guide)

"The chemistry between the two artists was thrilling and erotic!" (Cabaret Scenes)

"Haan and Dahan deserve all the bravos of this world. A true masterpiece." (New York Concert Review)

"Not your aunt's feminism for sure!" (Huffington Post)

After the 2019 success with Berlin, Mon Amour, Chanteuse Internationale Adrienne Haan - who has been artist-in-residence at the Triad since 2016 -brings back to the New York stage French cabaret star Magali Dahan straight from Paris.

Margo & Juliette is the story of women in 1920s and early 30s Berlin; about their failures and successes, from feminist struggle to female glamour, (sexual) freedom and the longing for acceptance in politics and society, a story of love, loss and disappointment, a dance on the volcano between the two world wars where each day (and night!) was celebrated as if it was the last.

Featuring all Weimar Berlin cabaret songs that were condemned as degenerate” by the rising Nazi Regime, this reflective, political, funny, witty, gentle and erotic soirée noir is set in the historical context of the Weimar Republic, before the rise of Nazism in 1933 closes the curtain of Germany's Golden Age forever.

Written, staged and directed by Adrienne Haan
Choreography by Adrienne Haan & Magali Dahan
Musical Direction by Richard Danley

English song translations by: Jeremy Lawrence, Sam Lerner, Alan Lareau, Kathleen L. Komar, Bari Biern, Adrienne Haan
