Adrienne Haan

General Assembly, United Nations, NY

The Permanent Mission of the International Organization of la Francophonie to the United Nations in New York presents Adrienne Haan and her pianist Richard Danley in Cabaret Français for Francophone Night during the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly. Adrienne Haan is the first artist to ever represent Luxembourg at this event.

Haan, an effervescent and celebrated international entertainer, performs a divers and multilingual repertoire. Cited as “the First Lady of Cabaret” by Wolf Entertainment Guide and “New York’s most exciting cabaret star today” by the New York Concert Review, her performances have garnered numerous standing ovations, most notably at Carnegie Hall, Ravinia Festival, and concert halls around the world. A resident of New York City, Adrienne is artist-in-residence at the renowned Triad Theatre in NYC where she has enthusiastically been received by NY audiences for 5 years.

Her uniquely crafted Cabaret Français features classics by Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour and Jacques Brel, and introducing lesser known works such as 1920s and 1930s French chansons by German Jewish composer Kurt Weill and Austrian Jewish composer Walter Jurmann. It also includes contemporary pop-jazz songs originally performed by the French star Patricia Kaas and French Canadian singer Isabelle Boulay.

Cabaret Français is an entertaining and elegant soirée of the highest caliber. Distinctive interpretations of these classics were arranged to compliment her unique stage presence and vocal prowess.
