Plus jamais La Guerre! Nie wieder Krieg!

To honor the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I (1918-2018).

Under patronage of the French Ambassador Sophie Aubert, and the German Ambassador Claudius Fischbach.

For the first time the German-Luxembourgish Chanteuse Adrienne Haan is probing the ties between 1920s German Cabaret Songs and the great French Chansons à la Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel and others. This new show was written to honor the end of the Great War 100 Years ago and the strong ties that unite Germany and France today.
2018 is also the 55th anniversary of the signing of the Élysée Treaty by Charles de Gaulle and Konrad Adenauer 55 years ago, precisely on January 22, 1963 which is the day the German-French Friendship was born.
The idea of the European Union finds its core during the “seminal catastrophe” of the 20th Century, as well as the terror of the war that followed.Adrienne Haan’s soirée Sans Frantières-Ohne Grenzen celebrates the strong ties between the two great nations through music and shows in her own emotional way that peace must be kept among the nations. Plus Jamais La Guerre! Nie Wieder Krieg!

Starting her musical journey in 1920s Berlin with songs by Brecht/Weill, Spoliansky, Hollaender, Eisler and more she crosses the bridge to 1940s and 50s France, celebrating the “grands chansonniers” of France such as Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel and Charles Aznavour.
