Warszawa Singera, Jewish Festival, Warsaw, Poland
Tehorah (טהורה)
Tehorah, which means “pure” in Hebrew, is a heartbreaking, promising musical story about war, loss, hope, love and forgiveness. The soirée contains songs from Jewish composers and lyricists, sung in German, Yiddish and Hebrew. At the same time, Tehorah is a historical-poetic portrait. First performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, this soirée sets a sign of hope for peace among the peoples.
With Benjamin Schaefer on the grand piano.
The concert is part of the cultural program accompanying the official commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the beginning of World War II. The event takes place in the context of the Luxembourg Presidency 2019-2020 of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA). It is sponsored by the Luxembourg Ministry of Culture, as well as the Embassy of Luxembourg in Warsaw and organized in cooperation with the Jewish Festival in Warsaw, WARSZAWA SINGERA.
The concert is placed under the Honorary Patronage of the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the Republic of Poland, H.E. Mr. Conrad Bruch.
